Digital Wallet ("the App") is an iOS application that helps you create and manage digital passes for Apple Wallet. Your privacy is extremely important to us, which is why we've designed the app to keep your voucher and card data on your device, and to send to our server only what is strictly necessary to sign a pass or to record anonymous usage analytics.
The app stores the following information locally on your device only:
When you generate a pass for Apple Wallet, the pass contents you've entered (the fields
above) are sent to a signing server we operate, because .pkpass files must be
cryptographically signed with our Apple Wallet certificate — a step that cannot happen on
your device without shipping that certificate inside the app. The server signs the pass,
returns it to the app, and deletes the uploaded contents immediately afterward. See
Section 5 for details.
Separately, the app sends anonymous usage analytics to a different server we operate. See Section 3 for the complete list of what that includes.
Digital Wallet sends anonymous, on-by-default usage analytics to a server we operate. It is a short list of events, and nothing else:
Alongside each event we record a random ID generated on your device when you first install the app — not an Apple device identifier, not shared with any other app, and not linked to your identity — plus app version, iOS version, device model (e.g. "iPhone16,2"), language, and your 2-letter country. There are no free-text fields. Analytics never sees your voucher details, card numbers, notes, or anything else you've typed.
We do not store IP addresses, even in logs; an IP is hashed with a key that rotates daily, used only to rate-limit abuse, and then discarded. Raw events are deleted after 90 days. Analytics never goes to an ad network, an analytics SDK, or any other third party — it goes to a server we operate ourselves and nowhere else. Nothing is sold or shared.
You can turn analytics off at any time in the app's settings. Opting out stops new events from being sent and deletes the events already collected from your install.
All information you enter is used exclusively to:
We do NOT sell or share your data with third parties. Period.
When you add a pass to Apple Wallet, the pass data is transmitted to Apple's Wallet app on your device. This is a standard iOS function and is necessary for the app to work. We do not control how Apple Wallet stores or manages passes.
Your vouchers and cards are stored on your device, protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). We recommend keeping your device secure and using device encryption features provided by iOS.
You have complete control over your data:
The app does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Parents may want to supervise young children's use of the app to ensure they understand how to use it appropriately.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
