Effective July 2026
Stride ("the App") is an iOS application, published by Code VIA Technologies, that displays your step count, distance, and walk duration in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen, using step data read from Apple Health.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Stride on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, and subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) and these Terms.
Stride is a fitness tracking convenience tool, not a medical device. Step counts, distance, and duration are estimates derived from Apple Health and your device's sensors, and may not be perfectly accurate. Stride is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition, and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice. Consult a physician before beginning any exercise program, especially if you have a pre-existing health condition.
Stride reads your step data from Apple Health with your permission and never writes to or modifies your Health data. You can revoke this access at any time in Settings. Our data practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
During an active walk, Stride uses location data solely to keep tracking active in the background. You may deny or revoke location access, though this may prevent walk tracking from continuing when the app is not in the foreground.
Stride stores step goals and walk history locally on your device. We do not operate accounts or servers, and we do not have access to your data. You are responsible for your device's security and for any data loss resulting from device loss, damage, or app deletion.
You agree not to:
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that step counts or walk metrics will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Code VIA Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, including reliance on any step, distance, or health-related data it displays.
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by revising the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may discontinue the App or any of its features at our discretion.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Code VIA Technologies' place of business, without regard to conflict of law principles.
