Effective July 2026
Nothing. Stride does not have accounts, analytics, advertising, or any servers of our own. We cannot see your step counts, walks, or goals.
Stride reads your daily step total from Apple Health so it can show your progress on the Lock Screen tile and in the Dynamic Island. This access is read-only — Stride never writes, modifies, or deletes any data in Apple Health. You can revoke Health access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
When you start a walk, Stride uses your location only to keep step and distance tracking active while the app is in the background or the screen is locked. Location data is processed entirely on your device to power the live Dynamic Island and Lock Screen updates during a walk — it is never transmitted anywhere, stored after the walk ends, or used for any other purpose.
Step counts, walk history, and your daily goal are stored locally on your iPhone. Nothing is synced to iCloud or any other service, and nothing leaves your device.
The Dynamic Island and Lock Screen tile are rendered on your device by iOS using data Stride already has locally. This content never leaves your device.
Stride does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
If a future feature ever changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that feature ships, with the effective date revised.
