Privacy Policy for Byheart

What we collect

Nothing. Byheart does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. The app makes no network calls of any kind — no analytics SDK, no crash reporting, and no advertising SDK.

The details you save

Byheart is built for the small set of things you repeatedly have to look up: a passport number, an IBAN, a home address, a policy number. You decide what goes in.

• Each detail's label and category are stored in the app's own preferences on your device.
• Each detail's value is stored in the iOS Keychain, with the protection class WhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnly — it is tied to this device and is not included in iCloud Keychain or in an encrypted backup that could restore it elsewhere.

Nothing is synced to iCloud or any other service, and nothing is readable by other apps.

Face ID and protected details

Any detail you mark as protected requires Face ID (or your device passcode) before it can be revealed or copied. Byheart asks iOS to perform that check and receives only a yes-or-no answer. Your biometric data stays in Apple's Secure Enclave — Byheart never sees it, stores it, or transmits it.

Your clipboard

Byheart writes to your clipboard; it does not read it. When you pick a detail, that value is placed on the clipboard so you can paste it.

• For a protected detail, the copy is marked local-only, so iOS does not hand it to your other Apple devices via Universal Clipboard, and it is given an expiry so it clears itself automatically after the interval you choose in Settings (30, 60 or 120 seconds).
• For an ordinary detail, a normal clipboard copy is used, and it stays until something replaces it — exactly as when you copy from any other app.

Byheart cannot monitor your clipboard in the background. iOS does not permit any app to do that.

Back Tap and the detail picker

If you bind Byheart to Back Tap, triple-tapping the back of your iPhone asks iOS to show its own list of your saved details. That list is drawn by the system, not by Byheart, and the app you were using is never told that Byheart ran.

Purchases

Byheart Pro is an auto-renewing subscription handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. Byheart never sees or stores your payment information. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and the subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.

Children's Privacy

Byheart does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

If a future feature ever changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that feature ships, with the effective date revised.
